This course covers existing and upcoming climate reporting regulations, which are now required by law in large global markets such as California and the EU. We’ll dive into the details of landmark frameworks for climate-related financial risk reporting, such as TCFD, and mandatory disclosure regulations, such as EU CSRD, California SB 253, and SB 261. You’ll learn how to determine regulatory climate reporting requirements for your company and practice building scaffolding for sustainability reports.

Katherine pivoted into climate work following a 20-year career in accounting and reporting with KPMG, during which she advised many of the world’s largest companies. Katherine’s main areas of expertise are corporate sustainability and transparency. In her most recent role with 3Degrees Group Inc., Katherine supported corporate clients with greenhouse gas emissions measurement, climate target setting, climate risk assessment and sustainability reporting.

Katherine is also an active member of several climate advocacy groups that are working towards enhanced corporate transparency through strengthened regulations. She was involved with the recent passage of SB 253 and SB 261 in California in a volunteer capacity and has detailed knowledge of these bills.
